Developing a lesson plan using the NTeQ template started off easily. But as I was using the school’s template I ran into the parts about standards and rotation. As I Googled standards I ran into another NTeQ template that seemed to fit my lesson plan better. I entered my information into this template but then I could not edit it even when the website told me that I could. A I tried to enter my lesson plan again being more careful this time it still got all messed up. All of this took probably three times as long as it should have. I had the whole template of the school’s finished except the standards and rotation. I should have stuck with it.
As the templates go it is the best way to organize your thoughts for a lesson plan. Everything is organized and any detail is not left out. As a teacher’s lesson plan are usually submitted to the department head or the principal a teacher can confident that the lesson plan will be well received and it will include all aspects that the department head or principal demands.
As for student learning, the NTeQ template assures that all bases will be covered in any lesson that will be taught to the students. It makes sure that all aspects of every step make sense and will be well thought out especially what the students will learn during the lesson, equipment that will be needed and how the experiment will be graded. The NTeQ template is a wonderful tool to use.
